Caduceus
Two microcosms collide when new Army nursing grads suddenly find themselves in a field unit run by hardened career-soldiers with no time for privileged attitudes or rookie mistakes. They thought the toughest challenge was passing finals. They were wrong.
Fresh out of the safe and structured halls of academia, two new Army Nurse graduates are instantly airlifted into a Forward Surgical Unit on the edge of a war zone. They expected order; they found chaos.

The Feral Seventh
In 1962, Lieutenant Richard “Gage Gantry led the seventh and final rotation of a Green Beret advisory team into Laos during the CIA's clandestine Operation White Star. Disguised as civilians, Gage and his seven-man squad arrive in Vang Vieng to train Hmong fighters against the communist Pathet Lao and North Vietnamese forces. Over six months, the team develops strong bonds with local allies Boun and Jean-Pierre while struggling to motivate reluctant trainees and adapt to the harsh realities of jungle warfare.
The mission changes dramatically when the squad is ambushed during a training patrol, resulting in the death of their medic. Near the end of their scheduled deployment, the men expect extraction, only to learn that the CIA has secretly extended their mission indefinitely. Officially "deactivated" and erased from military records, they are ordered to rotate among twelve hidden jungle munitions caches, maintaining and protecting them while remaining completely isolated.
As months turn into more than a year, the jungle becomes both prison and adversary...
